HIALEAH, Fla. (Feb. 9, 2026) — Anthony Salazar used an impressive effort against Trinity College of Florida to garner his first career Defensive Player of the Week award from the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC). . 

Florida National posted back-to-back wins for the first time this season after defeating the Tigers 124-70. Salazar was a big part of this victory and recorded a double-double of ten rebounds and 12 points to go along with four blocks. The junior had his best game of the 2025-26 season with his first assist and a perfect 2-2 performance from the free-throw line. 

"Anthony Salazar recorded 10 rebounds and four blocked shots in the Conquistadors' 124-70 rout against Trinity College of Florida last Tuesday," said the CAC's press release. "The Miami native also contributed 12 points in 24 minutes of playing time in the game."

Salazar and Florida National are set to host CAC rival Florida College Tuesday at 6 p.m.
