Johnson earns final CAC Player of the Week award

HIALEAH, Fla. (Feb. 23, 2026) — In storybook fashion, senior guard Cameron Johnson brought home the final Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2025-26 season. Johnson impressed with 28 points in his last game as a Conquistador, leading his team to its seventh win.

"Johnson, the offensive honoree, averaged 21 points in the Conquistadors' final two games. He posted 28 points in an 86-68 win against the University of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) last Thursday," said the CAC's press release.

"The Miami native grabbed eight rebounds in that contest. The guard began the week by tallying 14 points in a setback at Fort Lauderdale last Monday."

Johnson's swan song as an FNU player was a rebound shy of a double-double, as the Miami native also went 8-9 from the free-throw line.
