Pugin, Luque Rivero and Caetano headline 2026 All-CAC award winners

HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2026) — Florida National men's soccer had three standout seniors recognized as All-Conference honorees by the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Saturday. David Luque Rivero and Juan Pugin were named to the CAC's first team, while goalkeeper Vitor Caetano Pedrosa was the Conquistadors' nominee to the Champions of Character Team.

Luque Rivero paced Florida National this season in goals (nine) and assists (seven), earning one game-winning goal in 15 games. The senior from Seville, Spain, tallied 47 shots (26 on goal) for the Conquistadors.

Pugin put together an impactful 2026 season, recording five goals (second most on the team) and four assists (second most on the team) in 17 matches. His play in the middle of the field opened up great offensive opportunities for his teammates, and his ability to keep possession of the ball made him a constant threat for defenders at every level of play. He also recorded 33 shots (13 on target) and three game-winning goals in his senior season.

Pugin, Luque Rivero and Caetano Pedrosa will look to capture a conference title in Lawrenceville, Ga., starting with a semifinal match against the United States Sports University Eagles Sunday at 2 p.m.
