Long earns second CAC Defender of the Week

HIALEAH, Fla. (Oct. 20, 2025) — Florida National volleyball's outstanding junior Ariana Long was named Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week after FNU moved to 6-0 against conference opponents in 2025.

"Long, the Defender of the Week, had 11 digs and five kills in the Conquistadors' 3-0 sweep against Florida College, helping the team improve to 6-0 against CAC opponents this fall," said the conference's press release."The Homestead, Florida, native had three service aces in the home triumph."

FNU now holds a two-game win streak against Florida College, its first since the 2021 season. Long leads the team in digs with 304 and has a team-high in service aces with 47.

The Conquistadors have two of its last three regular season games this week, starting with a 7 p.m. match Tuesday versus Ave Maria University at Bucky Dent Park.
