De Armas and Guzman named USCAA All-Americans ahead of SCWS

HIALEAH, Fla. (May 10, 2026) — Florida National baseball had two newcomers take home All-American honors from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Freshman Alejandro De Armas was a second team selection, while Antonio Guzman earned an honorable mention.

De Armas burst onto the scene in 2026, leading the team with a .367 batting average and 51 hits. The Hialeah, Fla., native also paced the Conquistadors with nine home runs and 39 RBIs in 44 games.

Guzman, the sophomore lefty, earned a 4-2 record from the bump in 2026. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native played over 40 innings and made over eight starts for a talented Conquistador pitching staff.

Guzman, De Armas and FNU will look to make a tournament run as the ninth seed, starting May 11 with a 1 p.m. game against UC Clearmont College.
