Conquistadors exit exhibition against Barry losing 3-0

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (Oct. 29, 2026) — Florida National women's soccer (5-6-1) played a well-fought match against the NCAA DII Barry University Buccaneers (9-4-5), dropping a 3-0 exhibition match Thursday in Miami Gardens, Fla. This was FNU's final regular-season match and displayed the growth and great play the Conquistadors have produced over the past month.

In the first half against Barry, FNU held a hungry Buccaneer squad scoreless through the first 43 minutes. Barry tallied two shot attempts in the half from Alexa-Renee Garcia and Olivia Bradley before Ida Mattsson finally found the back of the net in the 43rd minute. Ronya Halleen assisted on the goal, as FNU's defense broke down in the closing minutes. They ended the half with no shot attempts, no corner kicks forced, and three fouls on the pitch.

Nearly seven minutes into the second half, Tatum Tishler's fifth goal of 2026 gave the Buccaneers a 2-0 lead, scoring the second goal of the match against goalkeeper Scarlett Veloza. Notably, Melina Tideman Gyberg connected on FNU's lone shot of the game in the 75th, but saw it fall into the hands of keeper Marlen Hernandez.

The Buccaneers did not stop attacking despite their healthy lead and eventually saw Bradley finish with an 89th-minute goal, assisted by Garcia.
FNU is now 0-4-0 against Barry since the 2021 season.
