Battling brings home CAC Offensive Player of the Week

HIALEAH, Fla. (Oct. 26, 2026) — Women's soccer forward Mette Battling claimed her first career Offensive Player of the Week award from the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC), following Florida National's tremendous 9-0 win over conference rival Florida College last Thursday.

"Battling, the offensive recipient, was undeniable in the Conquistadors' 9-0 win against fellow CAC opponent Florida College last Thursday," said the CAC press release Monday. "The Hattingen, Germany, native scored a hat trick and provided two assists in that match. The forward placed 11 of her 13 shot attempts on goal."

Battling moved her goal total this season to five and currently leads the team in assists with four. Florida National and Battling will look to keep this momentum heading to a 3 p.m. exhibition match against Barry University on the road Thursday.
