HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 17, 2025) — Florida National's freshman forward
Maria De Gracia Karamanites took home her first career Defensive Player of the Week award from the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC). De Gracia tallied 14 points and seven rebounds and one assist against Trinity College of Florida last Saturday.
"De Gracia, the defensive recipient, recorded five steals and grabbed seven rebounds to go along with 14 points in a 62-48 win against Trinity College of Florida last Saturday," said the CAC's press release Monday. "Her strong play helped the Conquistadors win their third consecutive game."
De Gracia is averaging 13.8 points per game and nearly seven rebounds a game. Her best game in 2025-26 was against St. Thomas University, where she posted 23 points, two blocks and a steal.
Florida National and De Gracia return to the court Nov. 18 against Nova Southeastern.
