Pacheco grabs Conquistadors’ first CAC men’s soccer weekly award

HIALEAH, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2026) — Florida National goalkeeper Ignacio Pacheco took home Defensive Player of the Week for the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC), following a pair of wins for the Argentinian transfer.

"Florida National University junior goalkeeper Ignacio Pacheco, the defensive honoree, posted a pair of victories while protecting the Conquistadors' goal," said the CAC's press release Tuesday.

"The Cordoba, Argentina, native posted 12 saves across both victories and had a .800 save percentage for the week."

Pacheco started four of FNU's five games in the young 2026 season, tallying 20 saves and a 2-2-0 record.

Florida National tackles the RV St. Thomas University Bobcats next Thursday on the road at 7 p.m.
