Seven Conquistadors represent FNU across All-CAC and Champion of Character teams

HIALEAH, Fla. (April 29, 2026) — Florida National softball had seven stellar players earn a spot on the coveted Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Softball All-Conference and Champions of Character teams ahead of the conference tournament in Lawrenceville, Ga. Notably, senior Brunella Beteta was recognized as the Pitcher of the Year along with a first team honor.

Beteta collected a 1.81 ERA in 2026, posting an 11-8 record from the circle. The Lima, Peru, native tallied 72 strikeouts over 120 innings pitched. She also posted a .267 batting average in FNU's hitting lineup. FNU's next first team honoree is catcher Alyssa Julien. The Jacksonville, Fla., native made Duval proud in her final season of collegiate softball, posting a .391 average with 36 hits and 26 runs scored. Julien also earned 13 RBIs and two triples.

Gianna Hall, FNU's home run leader in 2026 with eight hits out of the park, was also a first team member. The sophomore led the Conquistadors in hits (36) and RBIs (34), breaking the record for the most home runs in a regular season. FNU's final first team honoree was junior Sophia White. The right-handed pitcher was 12-6 from the circle in 2026, tallying a team-high 83 strikeouts. The Jupiter Farms, Fla., native grabbed her 200th career strikeout in a win over Baptist University of Florida midway through the season.

FNU softball's Bianca Bartow and Annissa Quinonez received honorable mentions for an exceptional season on the clay. Bartow had a breakout junior campaign, recording 24 hits, two home runs and 16 RBIs. Quinonez was a solid shortstop for the Conquistadors, batting .258 with 17 hits and just three errors in the books.

Freshman Ava Baronick was Florida National's choice for the conference's Champion of Character award.

FNU seeks a conference title starting today with a 2:30 p.m. game against Westcliff University.
