HIALEAH, Fla. (April 20, 2026) — Conquistador softball's Brunella Beteta is once again the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Pitcher of the Week, following nine strikeouts against UFTL.

"Beteta, the Pitcher of the Week, tallied nine strikeouts and allowed no earned runs in an 8-1 win against the University of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) last Monday," said the CAC's press release Monday.

"The right-hander allowed just three hits during the Senior Day games."

The Lima, Peru, native has a 10-7 record from the circle in 2026, one save and an ERA of 2.03. She's second in the team in strikeouts with 62. She was previously named the conference pitcher of the week on March 9 after a 4-0 record at the 2026 Space Coast Games.

Beteta and FNU face the Eagles Monday in Sunrise, Fla., for a noon doubleheader.
