Beteta scores back-to-back CAC Pitcher of the Week, third honor of 2026

HIALEAH, Fla. (April 27, 2026) — Conquistador softball (24-15) has a three-time Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Pitcher of the Week on its roster, as senior Brunella Beteta took home the final weekly honor of the regular season.

"Beteta, the Pitcher of the Week award winner, went 1-1 while not allowing an earned run across two appearances and 13 innings," said the CAC press release.

Against the University of Fort Lauderdale, Beteta did her job from the circle, recording eight strikeouts and a walk en route to a shutout triumph.

Beteta tallied 72 strikeouts during the regular season and the team's only save. She will look to lead FNU to a CAC Championship at the conference tournament starting April 29.
