HIALEAH, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2025) — Florida National's Mia Betancourt impressed at the Keiser University Flagship Invitational en route to earning Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Cross Country Runner of the Week. Betancourt was previously named CAC Runner of the Week in September 2024.

Betancourt shaved 90 seconds off her personal best 5K with a time of 23:33.2 and finished in the top 50.

"Meanwhile, Florida National University junior Mia Betancourt, the women's award winner, recorded a personal-best 5-kilometer time with a 23:33.2 performance at the Keiser University Flagship Invitational in West Palm Beach, Florida," said the CAC's press release. "She placed 47th in the meet that featured NCAA Division I and Division II runners."

Next up for Betancourt and Florida National is the St. Thomas University Bobcat Invitational on Sept. 12.
