Adams’ brilliance lands him CAC honors

HIALEAH, Fla. (Feb. 24, 2025) — Men's basketball guard Gary Adams grabbed his first Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award, following two solid performances versus Florida College and the University of Fort Lauderdale.

"Adams, the Defensive Player of the Week, totaled eight rebounds and two steals in the Conquistadors' contest against the University of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) last Wednesday," said the CAC's release Monday.

The Miami native also recorded four steals against the Falcons Feb. 17. He's played in all 24 of FNU's games this season, averaging 11.7 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Adams and FNU look to end the 2024-25 season on a high note with a 6 p.m. game against the University of Fort Lauderdale Feb. 24.
