HIALEAH, Fla. (Dec. 22, 2025) — Senior guard Cameron Johnson takes home Defensive Player of the Week from the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) in the final round of awards for the 2025 portion of the 2025-26 season.

"Johnson, the defensive recipient, had 10 points and seven rebounds in 23 minutes of Florida National's game against Truett McConnell University (Georgia) last Thursday," said the CAC's press release Monday. "All seven of the guard's rebounds came on the defensive end of the court."

Despite missing a few games at the beginning of the season, Johnson has proved to be a nice spark of offense off the bench with a team-high 15 points per game. He's also third on the team in rebounds with just over four boards a game. 

Johnson and FNU are back at Bucky Dent Park Dec. 30 as the College of the Ozarks trek to Hialeah, Fla., for a 6 p.m. contest.
