Men’s soccer lands RV status in latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll

HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 13, 2025) — Florida National (11-3-4) used 24 goals over its final five games to regain its receiving votes status in the latest NAIA Men's Soccer Netting Professionals Top 25 Coaches' Poll. FNU fell off the list following a 4-0 loss to Georgia Gwinnett College and a 2-1 loss to Keiser University in October.

The final days of the fall were highlighted by decisive wins from the Conquistadors, including a 7-0 rout of the Trinity College of Jacksonville Eagles and a 12-0 win over South Florida Bible College on senior day. Filipe Sette Ribeiro was a big part of FNU's offensive run, ending the season with 15 goals and five assists.

At the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament, FNU was eliminated on penalty kicks versus rival Bellevue University. The Bruins are receiving votes for the second straight poll. At the same time, CAC Champions GGC remained steady at No. 12. Fellow South Florida powerhouse Keiser used a conference title to remain No. 3 in the nation, while St. Thomas University is another school receiving votes in this week's poll.

FNU tallied six CAC All-Conference honorees in 2025 and had David Luque Rivero named Newcomer of the Year. Luque was awarded NAIA National Player of the Week in early September and ended his debut season with FNU, recording 10 goals and a team-high nine assists.
