Track sweeps CAC Athlete of the Week awards for the second time in 2026

MIRAMAR, Fla. (April 12, 2026) — Conquistador men's and women's track and field took home all four of the Athlete of the Week awards for the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC). Lamaria Williams was named the Field Athlete for the Week, while Keelee Okoro was the track honoree. Donovan Agard was the track athlete for the men's side, and Marven Cassamajor set personal records in the long jump and triple jump en route to Field Athlete of the Week recognition.

"Okoro, the athlete recipient, helped the Conquistadors post a season-best performance in the 4-x-400-meter relay (4:32.85) at last Saturday's Historically Black Colleges and Universities Relays Experience," read the CAC's release Monday. "She also posted her fastest time of the season in the 400-meter race at 1:04.43."

"Williams, the field honoree, placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.42 meters," said the CAC.

"Agard, the athlete honoree, placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.84 seconds and helped the Conquistadors set a season-best time (1:31.44) in the 4-x-200-meter relay at the meet," said the CAC's release.

"Cassamajor, the field recipient, posted personal records in the long jump (5.77 meters) and triple jump (11.84 meters) in the meet. He placed third in the triple jump and was sixth in the long jump," said the CAC.

These stellar athletes will look for conference glory this week, as Florida National hosts the 2026 Continental Athletic Conference Championship on April 17 at the Ansin Sports Complex.
