Track takes a bite out of the NSU Shark Invite

MIRAMAR, Fla. (March 29, 2026) — Conquistador men's and women's track and field tallied six personal records and 12 season-best performances across eight different events at the Nova Southeastern Shark Invite Saturday.

For the Florida National women's team, freshmen Jailyn Otero and Ganesia Bogle impressed in the 400-meter hurdles and the women's long jump, respectively. Otero grabbed a personal record in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 1:11.98 for a 14th-place finish. Bogle's long jump mark of 4.53m landed her in eighth as the top Conquistador in the event. Otero's long jump (4.39m) and 100-meter time of 13.18 were season's best for the Miami native.

Keelee Okoro (27.97) and Shaniece Richardson (32.45) had their best 200-meter times of 2026, and the women's 4x400-meter relay team of Otero, Okoro, Mia Betancourt and Lamaria Williams clocked in 6th with a time of 4:34.71. Moreover, Savanna Duperval clocked in her best time so far this season in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:16.93 (19th-place)

Notably, Betancourt's 800-meter time of 2:34.73 saw the sophomore post her fastest time so far in 2026.

For the FNU men, transfer Hugo-Augustin Kluczkowski stole the show with a top-10 finish in the men's 1500-meter race, earning a personal record time of 4:10.03. Orane Daley had a nice afternoon as well, capturing personal records in the 200m (25.78) and a season's best in the long jump (5.10m) and 100-meter dash (12.45).

Sophomore Donovan Agard placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.74, while a record mark of 5.51m in the long jump earned sophomore Wenceslao Ferrin Arias a ninth-place finish. Marven Cassamajor's high jump mark of 1.67m was a season's best for the freshman.
