Lambert and Kluczkowski capture second CAC Runner of the Week sweep for Florida National

HIALEAH, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2026) — Conquistador cross country had two standout athletes recognized as Runners of the Week for the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC). Hugo-Augustin Kluczkowski and Loralai Lambert became the second pair of FNU runners to sweep the weekly awards this season after strong finishes at the 27th FLRunners.com Invitational.

In early September, Mario Martinez and Lismar Bentancourt were named the men's and women's CAC Runner of the Week after strong performances at the Keiser University Flagship Invitational. This time around it was a personal record 6K for Lambert and a season's best time for Kluczkowski that solidified this week's honorees.

"The Dusseldorf, Germany, native [Kluczkowski] covered the 8-kilometer course in 31:01.67, a season-best time for the veteran distance runner," said the CAC's press release Monday. "He competed against NCAA Division II runners from Lynn University (Florida) and Saint Leon University (Florida), among other meet competitors."

"Freshman Loralai Lambert, the women's honoree, earned a personal-best 28:28.02 time across the 6-kilometer course in the FLRunners.com meet," said the CAC. "The Pembroke Pines, Florida, native placed 36th while competing against NCAA Division II runners."

Both Kluczkowski and Lambert will look to keep up the great work at the Ave Maria University Invitational this Friday.
