HIALEAH, Fla. (July 2, 2025) — Florida National University's Brenda Bogle was named the 2024-25 Continental Athletic Conference's (CAC) Sports Information Director of the Year. Bogle recently completed her third season with Florida National and is the first Conquistador SID to receive this honor.
"I am incredibly humbled and honored to accept this award," Bogle said. "I want to thank all the staff, coaches and student helpers that make it a joy to do my job every day."
Since taking over SID responsibilities in 2022-23, Bogle revamped the FNU athletics website and social media platforms. This undertaking included recaps for all varsity sports and a heavy focus on incorporating sports photography into graphics and other gameday-related posts. In 2024, Bogle worked on transitioning FNU's athletics to its new SIDEARM Sports site. She went on to upload a decade's worth of box scores, recaps and other related materials for 14 varsity sports when the project was completed in August 2024.
"Bogle completed her third season leading the Conquistadors' communications efforts and has provided stability in that area to a college that previously had four SIDs over a four-year period," said the CAC's press release on July 2.
"In 2024-25, Bogle helped the university host the CAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, distributing results, photos and awards to conference leaders and fellow SIDs of member schools."
Bogle was born and raised in Hialeah, Fla., and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
