Thirteen FNU teams rake in NAIA Scholar Team Award

HIALEAH, Fla. (May 22, 2025) — Florida National has 13 teams eligible for NAIA Scholar Team consideration. This honor recognizes teams in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) with at least a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2024-25 academic year.

As a department, the Conquistadors recorded the highest GPA in school history at 3.32. Men's basketball made its first appearance on this list in program history, posting a 3.15 team GPA under head coach Daniel Pressman. This is a .28 increase from 2023-24.

Women's tennis holds the top spot with a 3.77 average after its first Sun Conference postseason appearance in April.
