Four for Four: Florida National named Gold Level Institution in NAIA 2024-2025 Champions of Character Awards

HIALEAH, Fla. (July 28, 2025) — Florida National University is proud to be one of 210 institutions named Champions of Character Five-Star Award winners for the 2024-2025 school year. This is the fourth consecutive year FNU received a Gold Level designation from the NAIA with a perfect score.

Florida National and Conquistador Athletics are now one of only 10 schools in the NAIA (235 member institutions) to achieve a 100-point score for the last four years.

FNU is proud to support the NAIA Champions of Character program that goes well beyond the playing field to the daily decisions of our youth. These character values help young people – and those associated with their development – make good choices in all aspects of their lives and reflect the true spirit of competition. The five core values: respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and servant leadership are put into play, accounted for, and tracked at all NAIA schools.

"Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion," said the NAIA's press release July 28.

"Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year."
