Conquistadors rout Warner 4-0

HIALEAH, Fla. (March 28, 2025) — Florida National women's tennis (3-4) continues its impressive conference play, defeating Warner University (1-9) 4-0 at Goodlet Park Friday. FNU was undeniable through both phases of the match and are now 3-1 against Sun Conference opponents in 2025.

FNU was stout in doubles play, only needing a dominant 6-0 win from Julia Chodkowska and Lavinia Anais Karadža to take a 1-0 lead. Warner came in slightly short-handed, not having a third double pair. FNU's Alara Akgul and Nadia Abad had things covered with an impressive 5-0 lead in their unfinished match opposite Camila Matos and Victoria Belisario.

In singles play, FNU totaled a 3-0 lead after Karadža and Fabiola Bsereni were awarded the forfeit on the part of the Royals. Chodkowska proved to be the match clincher after her 3-1 match against Camila Matos was called when Matos was forced to retire.

Natalia Calvo, Abad and Deniz Reyes left their singles contests unfinished. This is FNU's fifth straight win against Warner, its only loss coming in 2019.
