Conquistadors No. 2 seed at CAC Championship

HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 14, 2024) — Florida National (22-4) fresh off a third-place finish at the USCAA tournament, moves on to NAIA postseason with the 2024 Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship from Nov. 15-16. The Conquistadors are the No. 2 overall seed and sit atop Pool B.

FNU's first day of competition in Temple Terrace, Fla., features a morning battle against No. 6-seeded Fisher College before an evening match opposite Spartanburg Methodist College. FNU had previously defeated the Falcons and SMC during the CAC Classic hosted by Haskell Indian Nations University. FNU has not lost a set to either CAC foe this season.

The Conquistadors are 6-1 in conference play in 2024, it's one loss coming at the hands of the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, Florida College. FC handed FNU a 3-0 loss the last time the Conquistador visited Temple Terrace, Fla., on Sept. 13 and both teams look to make deep runs in this year's tournament.

The top two teams of each pool advance to the semifinal matches on Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., with the title match set for 7 p.m.
