Three Conquistadors featured in CAC’s 2024 women’s soccer awards

HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 12, 2024) — Florida National's Delmis Reyes Amaya and Enma Amaya bring home a second team selection from the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) following an impressive 3-6-2 season. Freshman Gabriela Bortolon Brito was awarded an honorable mention.

The CAC released its honorees on Nov. 12 and, for the second season in a row, at least two Conquistadors are included as All-CAC second team members. Reyes Amaya was FNU's motor this season, scoring a team-high six goals. The sophomore also picked up two assists in her return to the pitch after sitting out the 2023 season. 

Defender Enman Amaya picked up her first CAC honor thanks to relentless and brilliant play on FNU's backline. Her ability to break up plays and captain FNU on the field held FNU win its first game after going 0-9-2 the previous season. Freshman and free kick specialist Bortolon Brito had a season to remember with three goals and a team-high three assists. 

FNU and these exceptional players look to end the 2024 season with a championship as they head to the USCAA tournament starting Nov. 15.
