BABSON PARK, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2022) – The Conquistadors fell short of their second victory of the season, after losing to Florida College 3-0 at the Webber International Tri-match. The Falcons had previously beaten FNU at the Florida College Tournament and improved to 6-5 on the year with the victory while FNU drops to 1-8.

Set One FNU Notables (12-25)

• Falcons came out swinging early taking a 12-5 lead in the first set of the match
• A kill by Layla Cortez on an assist from Ivette Sandoval made things interesting for the Conquistadors leaving them trailing 9-16.
• A kill by Falcons' Emilie Selvidge and an attack error from FNU solidified the point for Florida College

Set Two FNU Notables (14-25)

• Another strong set for Florida college as they took a 13-3 lead
• Three kills for Joanne Dania in this set
• A service ace from Krista Trimble closed out the set

Set Three FNU Notables (16-25)

• A kill by Adriana Bravo on an assist from Emilie Selvidge gave the Falcons a 17-10 lead
• Margareth Collantes Choque had four kills in this set
• An FNU service error ended the set and the match
