BABSON PARK, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2022) – The Conquistadors lose another nail-bitter this time against Webber International, 3-1. FNU came out strong winning the opening set but was unable to pull off the victory Thursday.

Set One FNU Notables (25-19)

• Five kills for Joanne Dania in the set
• FNU jumped ahead with an 18-15 lead late in the set
• A block by Lina Valentino and Joanne Dania claimed set point for the Conquistadors

Set Two FNU Notables (23-25)

• FNU had early momentum that materialized into a 7-5 lead to start the second set
• Three kills from Joanne Dania and two for Layla Cortez in the set
• After trailing 9-8, Webber jumped ahead 20-17 before ultimately evening the match

Set Three FNU Notables (15-25)

• Webber jumped ahead early with a 7-4 lead over the Conquistadors
• A kill by Webber's Tanasha Cooksey ended the set and gave Webber a 2-1 lead in the match
• Two kills for Layla Cortez in the set

Set Four FNU Notables (21-25)

• Heated battle early as the set was tied 5-5 before Webber generated an 18-12 lead
• Five kills for Layla Cortez
• A block by Bailey Sikkema ad Tanasha Cooksey ended the match and handed Webber the victory
