Roberto Rodriguez joined Florida National University’s baseball program as an assistant coach in the summer of 2023.
Rodriguez has a strong baseball background with five years as a player for both a JUCO and at Florida National. He currently has three years of college coaching experience under his belt and coaches for an academy for young, future high school baseball players.
Rodriguez has become a vital part of the program’s continued growth and success under head coach Nick Strong. Using his wealth of experience in player development, recruiting, and game strategy, Rodriguez helped Strong make FNU a true “turn-around” program.
In his first two years on staff at Florida National University, Coach Rodriguez assisted in leading the team to back-to-back playoff berths for the NAIA Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) playoffs as well as clinching a spot in the USCAA Small College World Series for the first time since 2018.
Rodriguez earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has an MBA with a concentration in General Management from Florida National.
