(March 13, 2026) — Florida National (17-11) made history Friday, scoring a 20-1 victory over fellow Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) member Fisher College (0-7) before completing the Friday sweep with a 6-0 shutout against Defiance College (5-8). FNU tallied its highest scoring game in program history and its largest margin of victory (19). FNU's high-powered offense was able to handle Fisher's pitching core with general ease, mounting an 8-0 advantage in the first inning. Alyssa Julien and Isabella Silva were able to score on wild pitches from Myiah Vandyke while RBI singles by Gianna Hall, Alisha Lanyon, Bianca Bartow and Alissia Vega kept FNU's offense on the field. Defensively, Sophia White posted the win in just two innings of work from the circle, tallying four strikeouts along with no walks or hits on the board. Ava Baronick and Brylea Rusler took care of the next three frames, keeping the Falcons hitless while Baronick posted five strikeouts. In the second inning, Bartow wreaked a ton of havoc for the Falcons with an RBI single to left and a run scored on an error from Fisher's catcher. Errors and wild pitches continued to impact Fisher's chances at a comeback, as Silva and Vega made it home on a wild pitch in the second. Brianna Marte and Julien both scored on errors from FC's infield, and FNU benefited from a 14-walk performance from the Falcons' pitching staff. FC was able to squeeze in the fifth, scoring Andrea Detres on a wild pitch by Rusler. FNU is now 4-0 against Fisher dating back to their first meeting in 2020, all victories coming in five innings by no less than 16 runs. Against Defiance, FNU was able to burst ahead 3-0 in the bottom of the first, scoring three more in the sixth to close out the win. FNU allowed just four DC hits, and the Conquistadors held the lone error of the afternoon. Up Next: Lawrence Tech and Cornerstone University are FNU's final opponents of the 2026 Spring Games.
