Men’s tennis ends regular season with loss to No. 4 Keiser

HIALEAH, Fla. (April 12, 2025) — FNU men's tennis (1-9) ended a tough regular season with a Senior Day loss to the No. 4 Keiser University Seahawks (13-2). The Conquistadors ended Sun Conference play 1-6 and 0-5 against ranked opponents.

The doubles section of the competition saw the Seahawks take an early 1-0 lead with relative ease. Daniele Trentin and Alejandro Suarez fell to Didrik Liljekvist and Heber Santos 6-3, while Lukas Nico Kopitzki and Ignacio Acosta left their match unfinished at 5-5.

KU got the opening point thanks in part to a 6-0 win by partners Shaheed Alam and Simone Boscatto against FNU pair Gustavo Masu and Luigi Stefanacci.

In singles play, Keiser's Gilad Tamar, Alam and Kilani secured the win with impressive victories at the Goodlet Park Tennis Center. David Santamaria lost 6-0, 6-3 to Kilani, while Acosta missed the mark against Alam 6-0, 6-1.

Kopitzki met a similar fate, losing 6-1, 6-0 to Gilad Tamar.
