Jaques Calderon Isdra became the fourth head women's soccer coach for Florida National University in March 2025. He brings multiple years of experience to his role with Florida National, working as a head coach in Florida for over five years. 

With the Conquistadors, Calderon Isdra served as an assistant coach for former head manager Gonzalo Rudolf during the 2025 season. Before his promotion the following season, FNU went 3-8-1 and made its first Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament in program history. Women's soccer also garnered four USCAA All-Americans and two All-CAC selections. 


Prior to FNU, Calderon spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the NCAA Division II Barry University Buccaneers. He’s worked with pro-level athletes in his native Brazil, lending his talents to various academies in his native country. Moreover, he served as a technical director for one of the best academies in his state, Rio Grande do Sul.

Locally, Calderon is no stranger to the club soccer scene, coaching for more than five different programs in the Miami area. 

Calderon graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), one of the best universities in Brazil. He also earned a Master's in Soccer Expertise from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV). 

Notably, Calderon holds a B License from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
