Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Carlota Gascón brings a strong international and collegiate tennis background to her role as graduate assistant for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams at Florida National University.
Gascón competed for four and a half years, finishing her senior year ranked No. 40 in the nation. She began her career as a member of the NJCAA Division I Eastern Florida State College Titans. She played two seasons and was instrumental in leading her teams to a sixth-place national finish. During that time, she also achieved a fifth-place doubles trophy in the NJCAA Tournament held in Arizona.
Last season, she helped lead the FNU women to their first Sun Conference Tournament appearance. Gascón’s stellar coaching also pushed the Conquistador finish 3-5 in conference play.
Gascón is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at FNU while continuing to develop her coaching career at the NAIA level. Her experience as a high-performing student-athlete and her dedication to the sport make her a valuable asset to the tennis program.
