Florida National scores third place in USCAA Director’s Cup race

HIALEAH, Fla. (June 8, 2026) — Florida National University completes an impressive 2025-26 season as the third-place finisher in the Bill Casto Director's Cup for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The Conquistadors previously captured a top-three finish in the director's cup race during the 2019-20 school year.

The USCAA Director's Cup was created to honor member institutions excelling in a variety of men's and women's sports where the USCAA offers championships. The Cup seeks to highlight the efforts of an athletic program that is diverse in its sport offerings and competes for national titles consistently.

The Conquistadors made quite an impression on the USCAA national stage, earning runner-up finishes in both women's volleyball and softball. Notably, the men's and women's track teams ended their respective seasons as third and fifth place winners at the USCAA Track & Field National Championships.

In total, FNU posted nearly 30 USCAA All-Americans (29) and saw the softball (Wesley Pollock, Sydni Bigelli, Monica Eihardt and Stephani Moore) and women's cross country staff (Anne Lambert and Ryan Raposo) earn USCAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
