HIALEAH, Fla. (June 23, 2026) — Florida National's director of athletics and acting track head coach Ryan Raposo was announced as this year's Coach of Character for the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC).

Under Raposo, Florida National has hosted the last two conference track and field championships, and he's made a constant effort to lead his teams under the guise of The Five Core Values of the NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.

"Raposo has had various FNU teams host youth athletic events and participate in community service and other community outreach initiatives," said the CAC's press release June 23.

"Florida National University has had four consecutive Five-Star Gold ratings in the NAIA Champion of Character program during Raposo's athletic leadership."

Raposo is no stranger to CAC end-of-year accolades, taking home Athletic Director of the Year in 2023-24.
